ONE UNEXPIRED POSITION ON THE
COWETA, FAYETTE AND MERIWETHER COUNTY
JOINT DEVELOPMENT AUTHORITY
The Coweta, Fayette and Meriwether County Joint Development Authority is a volunteer body
comprised of three members. One member is appointed for a four-year term, by the Fayette
County Board of Commissioners. Members receive no compensation for services.
The Joint Development Authority was created by Resolution No. 94-17 for the purpose of
business enterprises receiving job tax credits toward state income taxes as allowed by O.C.G.A.
§ 48-7-40(b). Applicants interested in this position must be a taxpayer residing in Fayette
County. Ideal candidates possess knowledge of the direction of the Development Authority.
The Fayette County Development Authority typically meets quarterly on the second Friday of
